We havn't had internet for a LONG time, but we finally figured it out.

Its been a while

I have been wanting to update this for such a long time but the internet was out.

We adopted an amazing puppy from Heritage Humane Society and his name is BeetleJuice =) I feel like our family is finally complete.

Since I've been gone Sean and I have tried recipes for...

Vegan fish and chips with tartar sauce

Giant tiramisu cupcakes
We started volunteering at PETA which is really freaking exciting =). We are going to try to make it every Wednesday which means I should be baking or cooking something every week to bring which also means new recipes to share on here!!

I finished reading Green is the New Red , it was slightly depressing but overall extremely motivating READ IT!

washington D.C.

I had an amazing time.

I had more than an amazing time.

I came back feeling sad that this sort of food is not widely available, being a vegan has been made to be something that is inconvenient when it doesn't have to be that way.

The first day we had dinner at Founding Farmers.

Vegan Cinnamon Buns

Today is Sean and I's one year wedding anniversary and since I cant afford to buy him anything nice I thought I would make him a delicious dinner to come home to.For desert (ok maybe its not your typical desert but who cares) I decided to try a cinnamon bun recipe from Vegan Yum Yum that I've had my eye on for a while. YOU CAN NOT TELL THE DIFFERENCE between these and one you would buy at cinnabon!I was absolutely amazed at how delicious these came out.The whole process of making these takes about 3 hours but If you're in the mood for a glutinous vegan treat its well worth it.There is something so amazingly enjoyable about making things from scratch that taste amazing and then thinking it was all done without contributing to the suffering of animals.

Gary Yourofsky

ok so this is a very long video but I think omnivores, vegetarians and vegans alike should take the time to watch it. I will warn you that during his lecture he shows two graphic clips. If you are like me and cant watch these without crying just skip a few minutes ahead when he starts to mention them. One is toward the beginning on slaughter and one is toward the end on the dairy industry.
